Itinerary:

• For this ride we start and finish in Saigon (HCM City)
• Day #1 Saigon Pick up scooters from SSC and an easy Saigon day trip to familiarise everybody with their scooters , and intro to Vietnam riding/traffic
• Day #2 Saigon to Bao Loc
• Day #3 Bao Loc to Dalat (French colonial hill station/ Mountain resort)
• Day #4 Dalat Free Day and optional tour
• Day #5 Dalat to Quan Ban Huu Duong Xa Lake (Dak Lak) Central highlands
• Day #6 Quan Ban Huu Duong Xa to Buon Ma Thuot Dak Lak
• Day #7 Buon Ma Thuot Hai Rieng Song Hanh (Phu Yen)
• Day #8 Hai Rieng Song Hanh to Tuy Hoa Beach (Short day)
• Day #8 Tuy Hoa coastal rider to Nha Trang Beach
• Day #9 Nha Trang Beach Free Day
• Day #10 Nha Trang coastal rider to Sorrento Beach
• Day #11 Sorrento Beach coastal ride to Mui Ne
• Day #12 Mui Ne to Vung Tau

More Info…

There are no guarantees when doing a road trip here that the agenda will be easier or more difficult than previous years. The driving conditions here at best are challenging. Also daily distances achievable are not to be underestimated. A long 8-9 hour day here is only 200km’s and that’s hard work. Most rides are estimated to be about 150km’s per day, some are less and occasionally maybe up to the 200km mark. For most riders this is enough and at the end of the day it’s primarily a holiday of course. Also with 5-6 hour days the rides are a lot more leisurely, we can take more scenic roads and we have more time for pics and photo stops etc.

As usual, sometimes we will be off the beaten track and with this the April ride also focuses more on some countryside rides, beach R & R as well as some scenic scootering and taking in national parks, floating markets, ancient temples, mangrove forests ,great food , boat trips and stunning beaches.

Notes

Update – New 30 day visa’s are now applicable for many countries – Check in advance.

• A visa is needed for most visitors over a 14 day stay. It is possible to arrange this for pick up on arrival but it’s recommended to arrange in advance.
• You cannot do the daily distance on Vietnamese roads that you can do overseas.
• A 200km day drive is 6/7+ hour drive.
• Weather can change dramatically. Although the weather should be good as the rainy season here doesn’t start until June/July come prepared with some rain gear.
