6 months ago I had a great idea  – Pull out my old Italian very tired 1966 Malaguti with a 50cc chain drive hair dryer motor in it and pop in a monster Ekit. How hard can that be Well as it turns out very hard! None of our existing ekit parts were compatible so we began a total redesign from scratch.

Dropping the ekit size from our usual 12” wheel down to a 10” 72v 4000w was the start. Custom swing arm custom electrics box custom battery tray custom wiring loom interior Refab one off battery design custom Legshield toolbox , redesign twin rear suspension and add rear disc brake Improve the original front suspension

And all to fit inside a small frame body with much less space than even a J range Lambretta.

On final assembly our trusty battery guys decided to make the custom ordered lithium ion battery 2cm bigger than requested LoL so total Refab of the side panels and interior battery tray Duh and then back to paint again!

Fast forward 6 months and we are done. Worth the headaches – totally. This is a awesome pocket rocket with a simple classy paint job and finished off with some custom hand made laser cut badges ,a one off Sprint rack and an Ancillotti seat.

Summary : A perfect Saigon city ride with some essential upgrades and with a top speed of 140kmph!?!
